I have played basketball from grade school through college and many recreation leagues. My coaching experience goes back at least 10 years, where I have coached middle school, junior high, and high school basket boys and girls (ages 7-21). I also have extensive experience with one on one training and group training.

I played Division II basketball out of state. I also played for Delta College University, and Northwood University. Everywhere I played I have excelled and always been a team player. Injuries shorten my basketball career, however, I have spent the majority of my lifetime focusing on fitness and how to become a better athlete and to help others do the same.
My work out session for clients consist of exercises focusing on stability, mobility, strength, and cardiovascular endurance. I place a strong emphasis on core work and balance. Every work out will consist of exercises in relation to the formentioned above. In regards to actual basketball training, we always start with the fundamentals, such as ball handling, footwork, and learning the correct way how to shoot the basketball.

I love training with Coach Dell. I don’t feel negatively criticized for mistakes to the point where I shut down mentally. I feel like he brings the perfect balance of correction and that down to earth personality that he has. In just 3 sessions for my son we can see improvement in his ball handling and overall performance. By the 3rd session he was already getting pushed further to do more and the training portion (pull-ups, lunges, etc.) has him back gaining size and strength. The biggest issue is figuring out how to fit sessions in with the busy school schedule now that school is back on but Coach is pretty flexible and has multiple locations (Midland, Saginaw and I think Freeland) he works at so it is working out. No doubt that if my son can keep up the schedule and practice through to the season starting he is going to be much better off.
