I have trained athletes for 10 years.
2014 I was the hitting coach at greenhill academy.
2015,2016,2017,2018,2019 I was the hitting coach at Ennis independent school district.
Currently I am the hitting coach at Waxahachie independent school district.
I typically work with players ages 10-18

I attended Waxahachie High School where I was a 4 year starter, earning offensive MVP my freshman year. I helped lead our team to the state championship in 2008 where we finished runner up. I played 1st base and pitched at the University of Oklahoma where we made a College World Series run before being eliminated by South Carolina. In 2012 I was drafted to the Detroit Tigers and then retired in 2014.

I try to instill confidence and self belief in the player. I talk to them about approach and how to simplify that approach. I am a big believer in hitters having the ability to use their hands and be able to get inside the baseball. Early in sessions I like to over exaggerate drills and then move into live arm and take what they learn in the drills and apply that and their approach in live arm sessions. The goal is to create a habit in the cage so that they don’t think about it in the game when they are hitting.
